3 years of blogging…

Yeah, I know there are people out there that have been blogging since the dawn of man, and in that context three years of blogging doesn’t seem like much, but… on June 9 2004 I wrote my very first blog-post on ‘writing for the web’. It was in Danish, and on an entirely different platform [...]

Oh my God, what is UP with this pay-per-post stuff?!

Enough already! I recently wrote about Semoblog, a Danish company that offers bloggers money to write about its clients. Hans Kullin picked up on that post and reported that the next step in that development (one step too far in Hans’ opinion – I whole-heartedly agree) is companies paying bloggers to link to bloggers who [...]

Are bloggers über-ethical?

Stuart Bruce over at A PR Guru’s Musings raises an interesting problem. It has come to be generally understood that bloggers have some sort of rock solid integrity that would prevent companies from ever using them in their advertising (except for wehn they are used ‘properly’ – meaning, involving them in the development of products, [...]

Why Apple over Microsoft?

Over at hovedetpaabloggen Trine-Marie poses an interesting question (in Danish). Why do we find Apple ‘sexy’ and Microsoft ‘dorky’? Is it all in the advertising? Have we really – and completely without critical distance – bought in to the desire to ‘be a Mac’? It becomes especially interesting, when you look at MS and Apple’s [...]

BTW

I meant to say that I found the story about TBWA and Saatchi & Saatchi at Disruption – I also meant to put it in my ‘Marketing’ category, and tag it appropriately, but that seemed to mess up the code – weird… Anyway – props have been given, and if anyone can explain to me [...]

3 puts blog posts on homepage

Over at 3 (in Danish), the guys have decided to feed new posts from their blog (alas, also in Danish) on the homepage. Good use of both platforms. it would be fun to know if it generated traffic either way. I applaude this integration – which also saves time posting news items on the website.

Free Vista, anyone?

Watch a few online vids, get a free copy of Vista or Office – Engadget Apparently, Microsoft are getting into the viral marketing game BIGTIME, promising underprivileged geeks free copies of vista if they watch a few webcasts and online virtual lab sessions. This is a wild move, and I can’t wiat to see how [...]

Fashion blog goes analog

I was at NYmag.com having a giggle at the approval matrix for this week – male Danish readers may recognize the format of the approval matrix, since it’s been blatantly copied (though adequately executed – originality, after all, isn’t everything) by Danish men’s magazine Euroman. I stumbled upon this story (see, I’m not all that [...]

Habla web, por favor?

If you work in online communication, you probably know what RSS means – or at least you know what it does. For instance, it helps me navigate through tons of articles and blog-posts in the fraction of the time it would take me to surf the app. 1 gazilion sites I get my daily dose [...]
