It’s aimed at kids ages 10 to 16, and features training in DJing, break dancing, beatboxing, street graphics and more. I think participation costs a measly 100 DKK.

They are Birdy Nam Nam and besides posting vids on youtube, they’ve done two albums (to my knowledge – correct me if I’m wrong) in a style that places them somewhere between hip hop and electronica. The track featured in the video is called Abbesses.

I found their albums on emusic, which has quickly become my favourite online music store – why? Because it is bursting with great music from independent labels and artists, and it is completely DRM free. So the music I buy is actually mine (mind boggling concept, I know).

I also kinda like the subscription idea behind the site. For a mere €12/mth I get 25 downloads – if I were to choose a more expensive plan I would of course get even better value.

Amazing what these turntablists can do when they come together. Collaboration is the way to go!
