In fact, I’ve kinda had it with the hype (don’t get me wrong. I agree. The right guy won. History is made. Change and hope and all that).

    But I really need to mention this group on Flickr. A message for Obama is a group of people sending just that – a message for Obama. To me, it is a perfect example of how a message that is presented visually (even when it’s just writing on a piece of paper) is so strong. It carries context and emotion. I dig it!

    Oh, and on the humorous side, I think this guy sent the funniest message of the bunch.

It’s been a while (to say the least) since I posted anythng overthere, and the reason for this is quite simple.

    Since joining Re: I’ve put my blog energy into getting Re:thinking – (our company blog) off the ground. I think the guys at Re: did a killer job on our new site (based on WordPress), and it’s crucial for me to contribute to the blog. Maintaining two Danish blogs is too much for me to cope with at this moment, so I had to make a choice, and it was a no-brainer. I’m a Re: guy now :)

    That being said, I quite like my supersocial domain, and I’ve been struggling with a way to put it to good use. As of now, it’ll be an aggregated blog (running on tumblr) of stuff about social software. It runs on feeds from my delish-bookmarks (tagged social), Flickr-pics (tagged social), posts from this blog and the one at Re:, Tweets, shared articles from my Google reader and some other stuff.

    So consider it my personal social media filter. I hope some of you can put some of it to good use, and if not you can still follow my posts in Danish at Re:thinking.

I can’t wait to see if it’s all it’s cracked up to be! I bought it as a supplement to my regular camcorder – the point and shoot version so to speak. I’ll write a proper review once it arrives and I’ve had time to test it out.

    While on the subject of video. Flickr now supports video! I’ve been waiting for this day to arrive for ages, and it looks promising. I am, however, SERIOUSLY bummed to learn that videos are limited to 90 secs. To me this just means that I will probably stick to using Vimeo (love Vimeo) and using the nifty little ‘share’ option.

    But hey – perhaps Flickr will be the place to post Flip vids while Vimeo holds the longer vids shot on the regular camcorder.

Apparently, the tendency is spreading to other social networks. For instance – check out this photo pool on Flickr, protesting against Microsoft’s proposal to buy Y!, or read about the phenomenon over at Wired.

    Personally, I remember cringing even back when Yahoo! bought flickr AGES ago, and to be honest, Flickr has only gotten better since. So this time around, I’ll take a chill pill and wait and see if Microsoft will indeed turn Flickr into a forecourt of Hell. And hey, for now I consider it class A entertainment to follow protests all over the web :)
