Trippin over players…

Video players, that is. Where I work, we – amongst other things, thank God – design and develop videoplayers. And it just struck me – or actually my man Christian just pointed out, that there is something inherently illogical to the conventions surrounding player-design. It revolves around the ‘play/pause’ and ‘mute/unmute’ buttons. Why the hell [...]

The iPad experiment part 2: Communications tools

One thing is being able to work on the iPad, another (although greatly overlapping) thing is being able to do all of the other stuff that normally goes on on the laptop or phone. Here are a few tool that make talking to the rest of the world a tiny bit easier: Twitterific Since ‘Twitter’ [...]

The iPad experiment part 1: office stuff

Spurred on by Ernst putting me on a list of web communications bloggers, my own guilty conscience for not blogging nearly enough and an experiment I’m conducting at the moment, it’s time to revive the blog. I’ll do so, with a post on a *cough* game changing *cough* device, and what it means to me [...]

Yet another reason for signing up to Second Brain

The number one reason for signing up over at Second Brain is that it’s a hella great service! The number two reason for doing it now is this. Also – you should really read their blog.

Kicking the tires of Second Brain

For a little while now, I’ve been testing a service called Second Brain. Second Brain is a life stream service with a twist. I know, I know – life stream services are a dime a dozen, and if you asked me if it were a good idea to start developing a new one, I’d probably [...]

Where’s your kid at, while you’re vigilantly monitoring their facebook profile?

I hear a lot of slightly paranoid voices on the subject of Facebook and young users. And the fact is that sometimes creepy, disgusting people (young and old) do creepy, disgusting stuff – and some of these people have discovered Facebook (and Myspace and all the other online social networks out there). But… A recent [...]

When users speak up!

The array of groups protesting against Facebook’s terms and conditions, was interesting to follow. Apparently, the tendency is spreading to other social networks. For instance – check out this photo pool on Flickr, protesting against Microsoft’s proposal to buy Y!, or read about the phenomenon over at Wired. Personally, I remember cringing even back when [...]

Web trends visualized

I’m not particularly fond of underground maps used as illustrations – I think the metaphor is a bit worn. But once in a blue moon, someone puts the metaphor to good use, and Information Architects Japan did just that, when they released their web trends 2008 map. Check it out here.

Connecta is no more

As of today, connecta.dk is no longer active. The passing of one URL marks the birth of another. Connecta is now Wemind. The reasons for the new name are many, but first and foremost, the company is growing, and it seemed a natural time to mark the growth with a new name, identity and website. [...]

Company Karma

I was just at a very inspiring seminar hosted by engodsag.dk. Engodsag.dk is a great initiative, that allows online shoppers to donate money whilst purchasing consumer goods. Or rather – companies donate money when consumers using a special programme buy their goods. Brilliant idea, and a solution that leaves only winners. Money is raised for [...]
