Here’s my first attempt at a Fliptrack slideshow. I’m sorry to go all narcissistic on you, but theses are the pictures I KNOW I can use without anyone getting upset 
So far, I kinda like Fliptrack. Sure, it’s not quite as flashy as Animoto, but it’s packed with themes, effects, functionality and what not. In depth comparison later…

Well, I have only tested Animoto, so I can’t really give a fair comparison. But what I really like about Animoto is how they are able to sync the slideshow to the music (patent pending, as I understand it).
It is also obvious from your two examples (fliptrack & Animoto) that the Animoto is much better in sync. The trade-off is of course that you have very limited possibilities when it comes to customizing your video. So I guess it all boils down to the purpose…
