Apparently a bunch of people have been getting letters from the ‘Dansk Internet Register’ (Danish Internet Registry), informing them that their information will be updated and this at the very low low cost of €958 a year for a minimum period of 3 years.
This will take place regardless of whether or not you fill in 3 optional search criteria and return the form with your signature.
My girlfriend recieved this letter yesterday, and will of course be chucking it in the bin ASAP. Her somewhat inactive blog had been put in the ‘the computer and the internet’ chategory.
Amazing if analogue spam such as this is in ANY way, shape or form a cost-effective business model.
BTW, ‘Dansk Internet Register’ is placed in Germany, and can only be contacted by fax! Trustworthy, eh?
